There are some specific signs that are one may have diabetes. They will often relate in some wave to the nerves. This is generally associated with a condition known as diabetic neuropathy. It is the result of nerve damage that result in pain to feet, legs and hands. In addition another form called, promixmal neuropathy, can be felt in the thighs, buttocks and hips. This can cause problems with the ability to walk. Therefore it is very important for a person to understand and recognize these signs of diabetes. They can include things like a “pins and needles” sensation in the hands or feet. Or it might give a tingling or burning feeling in the feet, toes, fingers, arms or hands. One might experience numbness or loss of feeling. Sometimes that can also result in being less sensitive to heat and cold. On the other hand the skin could become very sensitive to any touch. In addition it might come as a feel of muscle weakness in feet or hands. And in some situations the problem may be a loss of coordination or balance that affects the ability to walk. They all in different ways will be possible signs of diabetes.

And the reason this occurs most often to places like the feet is because they are the longest in the body and thus the first to so often to be affected. Thus it is more likely one will notice the signs there before anywhere else. So if any problems occur with the feet that be very noticeable before other places. And should any signs be detected then is very important to not ignore that problem or condition. It will be a time to actually consult a doctor to have tests done to see if one’s blood sugar is out of the normal range. Then the doctor can make sure if those symptoms are they from something other than diabetes. And to be sure that they are treated as needed.

While one can’t always tell when the cause of this problem is related to diabetes it is very important it not be ignore. So many with diabetes will experience this problem at some time. And it can represent the risk of possible future problems. Eventually if there is enough damage from this condition it can mean the possibility of amputation. Which is the case of extreme nerve damage. That is why the person who starts feeling any of these signs can’t afford to ignore the dangers. When having any questions the person can always consult their doctor. That is something he can examine and test for the seriousness of the condition. So checking with the doctor is always a very critical part of the process. Some often tend to simply ignore those signs until it is a serious problem.

How easy it is to not want to make changes. Still, with this type of condition that can truly have very serious consequences. And if the person is not currently a diabetic it is all the more reason to let those warning by the body speak their meaning. That can be so critical when it is done at a point that is doesn’t carry major problems. One might not be able to undo the damage, but the longer it goes undiagnosed the worse it can be. So that will be so essential in the complete process of tending to health needs. And like so many things it is easy to put off than pay attention to some pain. Trying to just take pain pills or some other option won’t deal with the deeper issues. Those require help and testing. That only a doctor can truly make possible with an accurate assessment of the problem.
